I'm sure this will keep the IC's in business.....now maybe they will deliver all that XMas shit for the penny threshold and not bitch about it. I wonder why DHL doesn't give the Teamsters the same deal???

Dear DHL Independent Contractor:

DHL has partnered with Office Max to offer a terrific new benefit for those eligible for the DHL-IC Preferred Vendor Program. Beginning September 19, 2005, DHL Contract Courier Companies will be able to receive the same special high volume discounts that large companies like DHL receive thanks to the special price program DHL has negotiated for you with OfficeMax.

We are excited about the opportunity to give you seamless access to the office products, furniture, paper and technology products your business needs. I personally would like you to know that we are completely dedicated to driving down your overall procurement costs by giving you a better purchasing experience than you will experience anywhere else.

Here’s how OfficeMax can help you drive down your overall procurement costs:
• Pricing: OfficeMax will extend to you the same DHL negotiated contract pricing that is on average 55% off the list price on over 300 items
• Easier Ordering: More than 96% of customer requests are Done-in-One contact and OfficeMax’s Proactive Order Notification eliminates the need for follow-up calls
• More Personalized Service: OfficeMax’s unique Customer Recognition System allows our associates to greet requisiteness by name and remember preferences, ordering history and the subject of each past interaction
• Greater Control: OfficeMax’s exclusive Customer Reports help you track who’s ordering what and when and Time of Order Communications send specific messages about your program standards and purchasing criteria

If you would like to know more about the benefits of the program and how to take advantage of this great opportunity, please e-mail Grisel Silva with your questions at griselsilva@officemax.com. To enroll in the program, please email Grisel with the following information:

1) Complete name of your company
2) Shipping Address
3) Billing address
4) Main contact Phone and Fax number.
5) Name of responsible person and Phone Number in the Account Payables Dept.
6) D & B’s ID# if available. Now I wonder why Office Max wants this info?? Maybe to check the credit report of the IC's. I wonder how many IC's get that "special letter" saying do your business somewhere else, we have enough broke dick customers.
This process will take approximately two to four working days.

We look forward to doing business with you.

Sincerely,

Grisel Silva

IC stations will also cut back on routes, employees, and DHL will reduce the amount of IC owners that they will be working with. where you are in the country or how large of a station you may be in....none of that will matter...IC or union
