I don't know what planet some of you guys live on but most jobs out there today don't offer health insurance. The companies that do offer a good plan are not putting any new help on. If Obama gets us a better deal on the cost of healthcare, does that allow more companies to offer health insurance and the ones that already do gives them some wiggle room to hire more people. That is what they call job creation. It is obvious that the main reason that the Republicans in office are against this health care reform. They are in the pockets of the health care industry. Obama is killing 2 birds with one stone. Job creation and getting people covered with insurance. Would it not be political suicide for the Dems if this fails? That leads me to ask, why are the Republicans fighting so hard against Obama? You know that they want him to fail. They fear Obama, and they should.

if this plan is so great... then why is obama and all his cronies in the senate/house exempt from it? people don't want goverment run healthcare clinton tried and failed and so will this clown. obamacare will be a gift to 'big busniess' they will be able to drop covering their employee's in favor for the goverment run plan. the goverment will then decide on who,when and where get's treated. going to the doctor will be like going to the dmv. all those great union health benefits gone goodbye. one of the first leason's i learned in life is nothing is for 'free' and if it is for free then something is seriously fucked up with it.... that's obamacare

I never heard them say that it will be free. The cost of insurance will go down though when people can pool up together and bye it at a group rate. I'm not sure if employers would be aloud to just drop their employees coverage. Hell, the Teamsters are on their way to start having the membership start chipping in for insurance. I feel that we both agree that something must be done in this matter. The insurance companies are way out of hand when it comes to what they charge, what they cover and who. I would be happy if Obama can just close the loop holes that these insurance companies duck through to avoid paying for medical cost. It would be a step in the right direction.
